Overview
The ABB CI840A (part number 3BSE041882R1) is a high-performance
PROFIBUS DP-V1 communication interface that links any ABB S800 I/O
station to PROFIBUS DP-V1 masters such as AC 800M controllers, PLCs
or SCADA systems. Designed for 24/7 process industries, the module
delivers deterministic data exchange, modular scalability and
hardware redundancy in a single, hot-swappable unit.

supports cyclic & acyclic data, automatic baud-rate detection up to
12 Mbit/s.
• Redundancy-ready – dual CI840A units can be configured for
